Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions to save us both some valuable time.
What is required of me if you do my website?
The only real requirement of you is to set up a web hosting account with one of the numerous services available on the internet. If you have no preference I suggest Yahoo! Web Hosting. I personally use them as they are a large, dependable internet company with a good reputation. They also offer a decent web hosting package for a reasonable price. There are cheaper services available, but as with everything in life, you get what you pay for.
Once you get the hosting account set up just send me the info and I will usually have something preliminary up within a day or two, then we can proceed from there.
What happens after you design the site?
You retain ownership of the hosting account, site design and domain. What you do with it after that is completely up to you. Some find in-house help to maintain the site, some come back to me periodically for maintenance and updates, others go elsewhere. That is completely up to you.
I have some ideas for my site design, are you open to my input?
Absolutely. The more input you can give me the happier both of us will be with the final product. Some ideas aren't feasible within a customers budget, but I can be pretty creative in finding alternatives when needed. Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll let you know what we can do to get that accomplished within your allotted means.
How does payment work?
I prefer PayPal, but also accept checks. Once payment clears, construction starts and doesn't stop until you're happy (within reason). Certain instances, such as dealing with VFW and American Legion posts, I am more flexible with starting services before payment. Get in contact with me and we can usually work something out.
